My little kitchen is currently wrapped in plastic

My little kitchen is currently wrapped in plastic and covered in drywall dust, so I'm clinging to cleaner moments. 😂 Renovations continue upstairs and we are just flying by the seat of our pants for the foreseeable future.

My FAVORITE part of home renovations…

is working with my Dad!

My sweet dad @ramester23 owned a construction company for 40 years. He built incredible homes, buildings and works of art. He is incredibly talented, self-taught and forged his way in an extremely competitive and cutthroat industry. I grew up on job sites, admiring his craftsmanship, application of beautiful materials and eye for architectural detail.

Over the last 10 years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with him on my own homes, and through the sweat, sawdust and occasional swear words 🤣 we have forged some everlasting memories.

Two of my dearest friends tragically lost their dads this last year. I’m not taking one single moment for granted.

D E M O D A Y!!!! It was a good, long, sweaty day in our little cottage as we tore out two bathrooms, a closet and removed all the trim for new drywall. Massive thank you to my brother @cramey3 (and his wife @allieanne22!), my dad @ramester23 and my handsome farmer @tayjmart. 💪🏻 So so grateful for this project. 🫶🏻 Gonna be life changing! Giving gifts is my love language. Especially handmade. This year we made candles inspired by @meghan’s beautiful new show, and gave them as gifts for Mother’s Day. I bought raw wax from a neighboring bee farm, supplies on Amazon, and printed cute labels with lyrics from one of my favorite songs. They turned out so adorable, and it was so satisfying and fun to do with my boys. Go make something handmade, it’s good for the soul! 🐝🕯️✨ #withlovemeghan #homemadecandles #beeswax

I wish I could put into words what it means to be

I wish I could put into words what it means to be the mother of these two boys. What a gift it is to wake up every day to their smiling faces. Being with them, teaching them, learning from them and loving them is the greatest calling I have ever felt, and I love it more than I ever could have imagined. To all the stinky sock picker uppers, the butt wipers, shoe tiers, diaper changers, dinner makers, book readers and nose wipers, you're doing good and holy work. Keep on keepin' on! Happy Mother's Day! ❤️
